The platform is owned and managed by OpenCom, a social cooperative and private research centre founded in 2011, whose mission centres on knowledge-sharing, inclusion, and civic participation at an international level.

Many programmes have been developed through European Projects co-funded by the EU, with universities and international partners contributing directly to course content and delivery.
